PBA MEMBERSHIP

WHY BECOME A PBA MEMBER:

Membership provides you:

  * 24-hour electronic access to the clubhouse and 40yrd indoor range. 

  * The chance to join an indoor or outdoor league. 

            * Leagues include indoor 3D, Spots, Vegas & paper animal. 

            * Outdoor leagues include 3D & broadhead.

  * Dust-to-Dawn access to the outdoor 20-60 yard practice range.

  * Dust-to-Dawn access to the NEW outdoor 70, 80, 90 & 100 yard practice range.

  * Optional Unlimited Summer Open Shooting Pass to both the 3D & broadhead ranges.

  * Free shooting & social events throughout the year.

  * Annual Spring Banquet.

  * Access to the knowledge of some of the best shooters in the state.

  * Bowhunters receive a 1yr membership to the Wisconsin Bowhunters Association (WBH).

  * Individual Memberships require 8hrs of volunteer/work time. Family Membership require 16hrs.

  * Associate (non-working) Memberships are available.

What type of club is Poynette Bowhunters?
Poynette Bowhunters Association is a private, members-only, non-profit archery club. Access and participation are limited to active members.


How long does a membership last?
All memberships run on a calendar-year basis, January through December.


Do you prorate membership fees?
Membership fees are not prorated at any time during the year, except for applications submitted after October 1.


How do I become a member?
To become a member, you must complete an Individual or Family Membership Application (available at the club and online after the December Open House) and submit it to the board during one of the designated acceptance times listed below.


When are membership applications accepted?
Applications are only accepted during the following times:

  1. PBA Open House in early December
    Dates and times are announced on the website, by email, and on Facebook.
     
  2. Outdoor League Rules Meeting (last week of April)
    Exact dates and times are posted on our website and sent through our normal communication channels.
     
  3. First week of Winter and Summer Leagues
    Memberships are accepted during the first week of each league session. Dates can be found on the events page.
     
  4. Monthly Board Meetings at 5:30 pm
    Prospective members may attend a monthly board meeting to submit an application. Please contact a board member beforehand so we can handle membership submissions prior to the meeting start at 6 pm. Meeting dates and times are listed at: https://poynettebowhunters.com/events
     

Why are memberships only accepted at specific times?
These intake windows help ensure applications are reviewed properly and allow the board to maintain an organized and safe membership process.

Spring Clean-Up

Typically during the last weekend of April or first weekend of May we have a spring clean-up day. There are spots available to help with: mowing, weeding, painting, grounds clean-up, and 3D & broadhead course set-up.

Apple picking, polishing & packing starts in the late summer and early fall. 

It's a great time to be outside and enjoy the fun of apple picking.

For those wanting to be a little more "in the know",  all committees are open to all members.

Have you ever wanted to setup a 3D or broadhead course? 

We're always looking for volunteers to help. 

Each Sunday during the summer, the 3D & broadhead course are changed.

We're also looking for help on Fridays before weekend tournaments to setup and change the courses.

Winter 3D leagues also needs help early Tuesdays for set-up.

2025 Participation Hour Opportunities

Meeting Attendance

MEMBERS: When you attend a board meeting, committee meeting, or the spring banquet you'll receive 1hr credit towards your 2025 workhour commitment.






*** Members are responsible for completing their own workhour time slip and having it signed by a current board member. ***

Tournament& Scramble Credit

MEMBERS: When participating in a scramble or weekend tournament (3D, broadhead, spots, Vegas), you'll receive 1hr credit towards your 2025 workhour commitment.

Winter & Summer League Credit

MEMBERS: When completing participation in a winter or summer league you'll receive 1hr credit towards your 2025 workhour commitment.

New Member Referral Program

Current Members - when you refer 3 NEW members in the same calendar year, you'll receive your next years membership free.


If you are a current member and can bring 3 new people to become PBA members, you're following year's membership will be free.
